“Martini Time”….I’ll say!
More like Martini’s destined for all over the floor time
On that note, I think it’s time for a drink…
I love that there are albums for this very purpose!
And then some… :-)
Tony Bennett by Herman Leonard
I am deeply missing Italian-Americans since moving from New Jersey and before that, away from relatives. Now I have them only in pictures and on record albums. And in the mirror, bleh.

An American In Paris
I feel incredible bad that all I see in this picture his Gene’s slightly opened mouth….and nothing else.
Per usual I don’t regret this extreme observation.
I see his closed eyes. And her closed eyes.
Oh, she’s lucky to get a kiss from such a great guy.
I just see the parts that aren’t being shown.
::rimshot::
Jerry: Adam, I’m hooked - that girl’s it.
Adam: Is she worthy of a struggling young artist?
Jerry: She’s worthy of anyone - she’s wonderful. What gets me is I don’t know anything about her. We manage to be together for a few moments and then off she goes. Sometimes we have a wonderful time together and other times it’s no fun at all. But I gotta be with her.
Adam: Yep, you’re hooked.
Jerry: Yep.I’ve only seen this movie once.
**slaps wrist**
I’ve seen it in full once and half once. So, one-and-a-half times. Gonna watch it again after we mow, I think.
An American in Paris has a permanent spot in my CD/DVD changer. I just watch it, kind of whenever; once a month, at least. I love the sets, the costuming, the pacing (except maybe in the final moments,) the music—especially the music, the ballet, and I love Gene Kelly.
23 Days of Gene Kelly - Day 8: What is your favorite picture of Gene with scruff?
This one. I think it’s from Christmas Holiday. I think. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
GeneKellyForever is correct- it’s a still from Black Hand. He looks so good.
Thank you for the correction. I wasn’t sure. I probably should have just said that it was “from one of Gene’s non-musical movies.” Hah!
Yes please.
No, seriously.
I mean, I’m not actually asking, or even saying please.
